Ash Ambirge, the wild child behind Selfish Forever, is one of my ALL-TIME favorite boss bitches on planet Internet. I've been following her (and learning from her) for over 8 years, so I've gotten to watch her evolution (in life + business). She's got shades of Outlaw that run DEEP inside her (which were front + center in her previous personal brand, The Middle Finger Project), but for the last few years, she's strategically chosen to lean into her Explorer shades of brand personality. It all culminated in the launch of her rebrand, Selfish Forever, which has a whopping ONE offer - Selfish School.
She's such a killer example of rebranding because she didn't change as a person, (evolved, YES, changed, NO), she just realized that she outgrew the purpose, positioning, and passion that drove her Outlaw ways and was in a season of life where her Explorer ways were what spoke to her the loudest.
It's not that her beliefs or personality changed, it's that she's just pulling from different parts of them now. Instead of coming at the topic of running a successful business from her fuck-the-establishment side, she now comes at it from her travel-the-world side.
She simply couldn't fight her drive for adventure + exploration and realized that she wanted to talk about business from THAT lens rather than her long-running Outlaw lens.

Ash is the poster child for keeping shit memorable + simple, which is at the core of how she teaches too. Her visual brand identity is lean + lovely, primarily consisting of an iconic green color, a vintage, half-dressed woman, and a decorative font (that's really it!). Oh, and a slew of travel-inspired photography from her own adventures around the world.
I seriously doubt ANY other Explorer brand would entertain the idea of going all in on a single vintage graphic of a half-naked woman in their branding. Unique AF, right? Ash is straight FIRE! 👏
HOW YOU CAN USE ASH AMBIRGE AS INSPIRATION
IN YOUR BRANDING (EVEN IF YOU'RE NOT AN EXPLORER BRAND)
✅ Instead of obsessing over whether you should pivot or not, however small or massive that pivot is that you've been going back + forth on, make the choice to do it by the end of this week, month, or year! The sooner you let go of your outdated choices, the sooner you can find the path forward that's right for who you are TODAY. If you don't CHOOSE to pivot, you can't start plotting out that pivot... and the plan (a.k.a. strategy) that's going to turn the pivot into the "best decision you've ever made" in your business.
